dr. gladd talks reflux

Reflux, one of the most common cases in our society, is bandaged with medications meant for short-term use.  Unfortunately, most people take them for life, and the symptoms often become more severe.  I've found a number of natural methods to be successful in treating reflux.

I have a 14 yr old daughter who has nighttime symptoms, she is fine all day and when she goes to bed that is when she experiences what I think is re-flux from her description. We have been gluten free for about a week, I am working toward dairy free, but she is sleeping in the recliner to get relief and sleeps very light wakes up exhausted. So I am wanting to try melatonin... How much and how/when to take it works best.

Thanks Laurie. We prefer a controlled-release melatonin so that it works throughout the night. Starting dose is anywhere from 1-3mg at bedtime. Iberogast is great in the evening and before bed as well. For preferred products, take a look at our online store so you get quality stuff.

I eat a very healthy diet, no processed foods ever, lots of vegetables, fruit, only whole grains (I grind my own wheat & make all our own bread). I don't drink caffine or alcohol, smoke or take any medications for anything. So, I had to go to the emergency room on Thursday with stomach pain which was diagnosed as Gastritis. They told me I'd probably have to be on the acid prohibitors the rest of my life. I know that is NOT what I want to do. Should I get some of the Iberogast or would C3 Curcumin be OK. If so, how long should I take it?
